Indie Hacking Arc October 2024 update

The idea for Focus Furnace came with my frustration at how 99% of websites require you to create an account, log in, or download the app before you can do anything.

This is frustrating for users, so I wanted to find a way to host a sample version of the app on the first screen, without sending any data to a database and only storing content client-size.

The app uses session storage for this.

This sets Focus Furnace project apart, a user can start using the tool immediately when they visit the website. There’s no marketing jargon, no need to sign-up first, and no need to create an account to just use the application.

While there are some inherent challenges with this concept, I think it’s worthwhile to at least explore. It may help give your users a feel for your application or tool before they sign up, so that they can try using it.
